" AL - Jadeed " is a scientific quarterly magazine published by the National Scientific and Study Center .

AL - Jadeed is devoted to all humanistic intellectual, political, economic and social issues.

Being a magazine whose primary preoccupation is the cause of man in general and his relationship with his society and environment, it tackles issues relating to the Arab world in the first place and not exclusively the Arab Libyans only.

Looking back into our history and conceiving and handling it with a new approach is a good proof that we are an ancient civilized nation, and not a disintegrated and scattered one. This provides us with determination and enhances our steadfastness, which gives us both the power and ability of aspiring to an enlightened future where we feel no disability or weakness.

For this reason, researches ought to have the ultimate goal of serving our Arab society and contributing to its development, and solving its problems. Irresponsible writing that reflects apathy in western terms or rhetoric in our own words must be avoided.

While " AL - Jadeed " is sometimes published in foreign languages, and it is something which takes place whenever our message is to be directed to non - Arabs, We prefer, however, to introduce the magazine to our Arab readers. The reason is that this magazine addresses the Arab reader and researcher in the first place. Does one have to address his own people in a foreign language?

It is also the duty of those researchers who have had the opportunity of studying in foreign country’s universities and receiving expertise in various areas of learning that are lacking here, to put whatever knowledge they have got within the reach of their fellow brothers and sisters who are unable to do the same. Having had done this, they would have contributed to the process of translating into Arabic, which is our great nation’s ambition.

For the researches to be publishable and acceptable to the publishing committee, they ought to be original and have not been published before. They must also be clearly typed or handwritten.

It is a truthful call we extend to our sincere Arab writers to contribute and enrich this magazine (AL - Jadeed) which serves our nation’s contemporary causes through publishing national researches whose objective is the well - being of this great Arab nation.

Issuing this magazine is performed by a scientific consultative board of Arab Libyan university professors .
