The Library and Documentation Section The library takes up the responsibility of collecting, cataloguing, safekeeping and lending original references in the form of books, sources, and periodicals. And since the center is founded on research and studies, the library contains around 4500 books and references. The library classifies and evaluates primary and secondary scientific sources of knowledge that includes publications and documents, and prepares various kinds of data for those who need them. It also provides researchers with adequate assistance that facilitates their familiarization with the latest publications of international publishing companies and institutions, as well as aiding researchers in situations where scientific or technical data is available in a language other than their native one, along with improving the methods of research relating to this section’s kinds of information in accordance with the center’s needs and requirements, such as acquiring the ability to collect and store documents and data, besides safekeeping the publications issued by numerous research centers . Moreover, professors and researchers contribute to providing the library with the researches and projects that they conduct and with various publications pertaining to scientific research. The center’s library contacts and coordinates its effort with other libraries inside and outside the Great Jamahiriya, and takes part in different book exhibitions, provides information services, prepares books and publications for those who need them, and undertakes the task of performing secondary publications such as indexing, documentation of the information that arises from scientific and intellectual symposiums held in the center in order to benefit from it when necessary. |
